As a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) and Registered Play Therapist (RPT), Stephanie provides counseling for children, adolescents, adults, and families. Stephanie also provides supervision to LPC-Interns seeking full licensure as well those interested in obtaining the Registered Play Therapist (RPT) credential.
Child Counseling: Ages 2-18
Extensive training in play therapy techniques supports her work with children and adolescents on various issues such as anger, depression, anxiety, ADD/ADHD, grief and loss, divorce, behavioral problems, anger management, abuse, and attachment issues.
Stephanie also specializes in Child-Parent Relationship Therapy (Filial Therapy), a relationship enhancement child therapy that equips parents with the skills to help increase self -control, self-responsibility, and self-esteem in their children.
Stephanie also has training in Theraplay techniques, another form of attachment child therapy, especially helpful for foster/adopt cases and children with developmental delays.
Counseling for Adults
Parenting, trauma, post-partum depression, anxiety, and abuse are included in the various issues addressed with adult clients. She is certified in Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), a well-known therapeutic model that addresses depression, grief, and relationship issues and facilitates the modification of interpersonal skills. Additionally, Stephanie works with all parents are guardians with children in child therapy.

Stephanie received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (ULL) in 2004 and a Master of Arts degree in Mental Health Counseling from McNeese State University in 2008. Her practicum training had an emphasis on child counseling and trauma/sexual abuse in children and adolescents.
She continued her training working with children and conducting child counseling with an emphasis on play therapy. She earned her Registered Play Therapist credential (RPT) at the same time as earning her LPC. Using her skills, she headed up several play therapy programs and began conducting training for other therapists interested in learning play therapy skills or obtaining their Registered Play Therapist credential. She obtained her Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor status in 2013 and now supervises Licensed Professional Counselor Interns and counselors interested in child therapy or seeking the Registered Play Therapist (RPT) credential.
