She believes that children are better able to express their feelings, needs, experiences and thoughts through play rather than words. She utilizes play therapy through an attachment lens while incorporating parent education, art, brain-building interventions, mind-body connection activities, and mindfulness in working with children and families.

Amy holds a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Texas State University and Master of Social Work degree from Baylor University. She is a Licensed Clinical Social worker and is currently working towards achieving her Registered Play Therapist (RPT) credential. Amy has a background in the school setting, working closely with student, families, teachers, and school counselors by surrounding the students with necessary tools and support.
